Sweet bean jam wrapped with Domyoji-mochi, a confectionery for Sestubun (first day of spring).
It comes with roasted “Kinako” (soybean flour).
Each individually wrapped with bamboo sheath and packed in a wooden box.
Associated with the omens of Shofuku (inviting good luck) and Yaku-yoke (warding off evil),
and with the hope for "good fortune as abundant as bales of rice”. It is enjoyed on the day of Setsubun.
